On monday I went to a visitation for a dear sweet nun who taught me and was later our principal...she lived a long and beautiful life! I was able to visit with four other sweet nuns who were such a big part of my school years as well...they are all such sweet and special women. They all love that we named Malachy after one that was a part of their "family" for so long.
Afterward I went to visit my sweet grandmother "baba" who had been honored at her church for being a veteran. She served in WW2 as a red cross nurse and helped many soldiers to recover. My girls think it's pretty neat!
(she's on the far right!)
I took a couple photos with my phone during our little visit...this is her mom... My great grandmother. She lived to be 98, born in 1900 (and her birthday is today). My three oldest were able to have a great great grandmother!
and this is a very large (like 4 ft by 6 ft!) cross stitch art that my grandmother made when my dad was little... It is beautiful!
and it is on fabric... that's a lot of stitches!
