blessed

One of our favorite activities as parents has been seeing the wonderful friends that our kids are blessed with and one of our favorite "jobs" in the past years is getting to be parents to teen (juniors and seniors) that make their search retreat weekend. Seeing teens that are so happy in their faith and so comfortable sharing with each other is a blessing! We really enjoyed our most recent weekend. Such a special group of leaders/team. They surprised us the other night as they showed up at the door with a whole (big!) dinner with appetizers, sides, desserts and drinks and all paper ware so there was no clean up....they stayed and hung out with our family, ate with us and helped clean and visited a little more.  It was such a sweet "happy"!

another special thing about this group is that five of the boys on the team were searchers when we were mom and dad last year, so we've been their only search parents!
