We were never big dog people, mainly because I am a little OCD about our home, and we have big allergies...an indoor pet with hair is a no-no. But a few years ago we gave in and got a precious beagle who was a part of a family and was a little lonely as he lived in our backyard and watched us through those glass french doors wanting to be in and tilting that little head... he came in his crate inside when weather was bad and he loved running circles in our small backyard and also loved digging and burying in our once pretty backyard...he was happy to go on walks and play with the kids in the backyard but he was lonely and after 2, almost three years I felt it was time to find him a home where he was happy... he was such a good dog, great temperament, it was not fair to him...and the kids finally, reluctantly agreed. My mom took him and house trained him to make him "marketable" and her neighbor who places dogs started to try to find him a home...my kids started making stipulations and wishes, he can go to a new home if the new owners let us visit, or maybe yaya and pap will fall in love with him (who wouldn't!?) and want to keep him and then we could see him all of the time...he got a lot of looks, one being an orphanage which seemed perfect, but no one was deciding to keep him...then in late spring one of my oldest, dearest friends was here visiting and informed me that since it had been a while since their family dog had passed away that they were ready for a dog, not a puppy, but one a few years old, and they were thinking a beagle!! She thought that Brady had since found a home until I got all excited telling her that he was at my moms and needing a home...she called her family right away to tell them and he moved in that weekend. He is now indoors, very loved by three boys and a little fatter! We went to visit the other day and he still remembers us, followed me everywhere and could not stop licking on and loving on my kids! The kids and Brady got their wish and all are happy now!
