a door opens...

so I was applying for the preK assistant job at our school because the aid from last year was not sure if she was returning and I was excited, but not sure I was ready for a full time job yet. I got the call this morning that they are sticking with the current person, she is coming back...I felt a sense of sorrow and relief.  Within an hour of that call I receive a call from the sweet lady that organizes SEARCH, a wonderful teen retreat weekend program that is so special in the development of faith in so many teens...Flynn and I made SEARCH as teens and Hagan did one last year.  Since we got married we have talked about how much fun it would be to be the SEARCH mom and dad, but knew we were too busy raising little ones...we were asked this morning to be "mom and dad"!  I was so excited and so looking forward to being a part of these kids lives!  I was planning on working with preschoolers but am just as excited about teens!
