this year our family and a family we are very close to spent our christmas morning making and serving breakfast and making lunches for guests at our church's Room In the Inn. The kids woke up without any complaints (actually with smiles on their faces) and skipped the usual christmas morning festivities to spend the morning with others who aren't as fortunate this christmas season. Even though it was 4 in the morning they made it through the day happy and wide awake!
Nora had asked Santa to wrap our gifts from him, something we've never done... to make the morning more of a surprise.

What an awesome way to spend Christmas morning! I'm sure it was so rewarding for everyone involved and a great way to demonstrate to your kids the true meaning of Christmas. Everyone looks great and your house looked lovely for the holidays. Happy New Year to you & yours!
