sweet little historian tourguide that sat and talked with us all about Fredericksburg...his family was in the first settlers there...he was so happy to put on his hat and tell us that tennessee was special to him because he was on the USS Tennessee...

hills of Texas are so different than our tennessee hills...beautiful day as we enjoyed touring a quaint little town and taking in some German heritage and beautiful scenery! We took a picnic blanket and picked up fruit and sparkling water and some olives at a market and some fresh bread from a german bakery and hot pepper jelly from a little shop on main street (which got us in trouble at the airport on the way home! It was thrown away by the airport baggage checker!)
