play day!

We got to spend our spring break at home once again and overall there was not too much complaining!  It was a beautiful start to the week but finished out a little cooler than we would have liked!  The girls have been begging to have this sweet family of 4 girls over since fall and I finally made it work!

Last summer at church we saw a new family in front of us and for some reason felt an instant connection with them...we talked to the whole family after mass, but our kids had darted off to coffee and doughnuts.  After hearing their ages I realized that none of the girls were in my girls grades and figured they would be no more than just a school family friend...cross country started the next week and Mally comes home talking all about a new girl that she has fun running with, but she is a grade above her...the oldest in that family!  Basketball starts and the second youngest (a grade behind Mally) is on Flynn's team, she really hits it off with Flynn and Mally and becomes our sleepover friend!  Her older sisters games are always right before Reilly's so she would always ask if she could stay to hang with Mally and then we could take her home...we always ended up with her back at our home!(She and Hagan formed a bond as well!)  The youngest is in kindergarten and somehow became a big fan of Reilly at cross country and still follows him around and hangs on him!

The girls were so ready to have them over!  Made a list of things that they could do all day! (we were going to do a sleepover but they were going to visit family)  Girls had a blast!  Entertained themselves wonderfully all day!  At one point the oldest asked Nora if she had barbies...she and the other younger two could play that.  Nora said "No we can't", she asked why and Nora replied, "it's not on the list!"

we got to cross off some ideas!  They were so fun to have over!  Such good girls...each spent time with me throughout the day too!  I got to do a manicure!  So happy that this little family has become so close to ours!
