toys!

Another blog that I read suggested this idea and I do not have the many followers that she has but she challenged others to share toys that are a hit at their home for others to get ideas...here are a few of our favorites and a link to hers for even more ideas!

connect four has been a favorite with all 4 of ours (and they play it still with Nora!)  Our Toy Story DRAWER!  Nora gets them all out and plays it, as did Reilly and Hagan years ago!  Our friends love getting into it as well!  Stick horse was a big thing with my two imagination ones!

Geotrax!  Nora's favorite toy that is my enemy as it takes up a whole room and those bridge things do not store neatly in a basket!  But I have to admit I love seeing her and her buddies and an occasional willing sibling play this sweet toy!  Very durable!

the dollhouse!  This was from my grandmothers house that I played with as a child, but there are always ones at garage and estate sales and goodwill.  I like the wood dollhouses and furnish with the fisher price things and add real stuff as they grow!  My girls play this all of the time, and it is the first thing in our house that girl cousins and friends (some boys as well!) go to!

         the art drawer!  By our dining room table and all 4 use!

this is a favorite year around, and why not!  Nora loves the fisher price nativity and "plays" it throughout the year!  The bus brings people to the nativity field trip... the farm and castle are near by!  All those fisher price little people are still a big hit!  But I love that she can bring Jesus into her play!

Playmobil was our boys favorite until a few years ago.  Nora and friends still get it all out!  The girls use it in the doll house as well!
