crazy, fun filled and activity filled weekend (oh wait...that is the norm!)

                                           (the Mally serve!)
So much went on around our house this weekend!  First of all...Hagan made SEARCH (a wonderful retreat experience for jrs/srs).  He was picked up by three sweet girls who have already done their weekend.  They dropped him off and came back to "decorate" his car!  The weekend was different without him around, seems so strange that it will be that way in two years all the time!  Friday night was the Knights Night golf tournament...hilarious!  Saturday Mally walked with Flynn and I in the alzheimers walk and Reilly and Nora walked with some of her class in the Junior Diabetes Walk...rushed home to make it to Malachy's volleyball matches!  She and the team did awesome!  She has perfected her serve!  They won both matches!
Sunday...cross country final meet!  Beautiful weather!  Breeze was perfect!  Nora trimmed 44 seconds off her best time and finished the 3/4 mile in 5:50...our school's second to cross the finish line-she finished 16th out of about 200 1st and 2nd grade girls competing.  Mally took 14 seconds off her time...and did one mile in 6:56, 14th out of 100 5th/6th girls.  And (drumroll here!)... the last race for the 7th/8th is for the big stuff!  They place as an individual and a team.  We have 4 really strong runners in this group who consistently finish in 5th-15th places.  Reilly has been finishing 26 (first race) to 21st.  He has never really been into this sport, just does it to train in his "off season"!  But back to the competing part... the top 5 runners are the ones who determine the team placing...no pressure or anything BUT if he could do really well he could get them into that 2nd place spot!  He was so focused and those coaches were prepping him so well!  He did great and took 1 minute 4 seconds off his personal best!  He ran 1 1/2 miles in 9:46!  Over 60 boys ran and he placed 19th and got a cool trophy for finishing in top 20!  AND that time helped their team get the 2nd place trophy!!!!
I am just a little proud!  Do not know where they get this from!  I wish I could have just a little of that stamina!
Weekend ended with our SEARCH boy coming home...he had a great weekend and was glowing!  He is ready to be on crew and leader!
                                                              SEARCH art!
