little nora is now 10... no more single digits in our house! 10 is also the age we let the girls get their ears pierced (because when mally was little we said 10 thinking it was so old and so far away...came too quickly!) Dad wasn't ready either... he kept texting me with (empty) bribes for nora all day..."$100 an ear not to"... "$500 and ear... a pony...six puppies, a kitty, a baby lamb and a pet squirrel!" But she was determined!Her little ears look like a big girls now! And to fit the part of big girl...asked for no "toys" for her birthday! Just a dress... and she got a tee to be monogrammed!
what kind of cake? She wanted red velvet with nana's homemade chocolate icing (super hard and this was the best I've ever done it!) and blue (????) sprinkles!
what was the dinner choice of the birthday girl? Lamb burgers, corn on the cob, homemade fries and root beer!
