our pet

we (nora) bought a hermit crab quite a few months ago...maybe summer.  She named him Baljeet (like in Phineas and Ferb!) Easy pet...keep his sponge wet and give him spinach leaves...we take him out and he speed walks around the room...in late fall I noticed him out of his shell walking around the bowl so I quickly got a larger shell and put it in there...next day he moved into it!  We have had these crabs live for a long time but none have ever made it to the next shell!  Then we got worried a couple of weeks ago because we saw parts of legs in the bowl and were prepared to bury, then mally saw movement...we did computer research to find that he was "molting" and now his new little body is just as busy as before!

and this was nora's creation for her big brother as he returned home!

my boys loved putt putt and freddi the fish and spy fox computer games when they were younger and Nora was bored as she recovered from the flu last week and tried to play them on our computer only to find out that they were too outdated for these new computers!  Dad saved the day as he discovered that they were available as an app on Ipod!!! She (and the boys!) have been hooked!  She was playing it as Hagan was working the scoreboards at CYO basketball and college boys were all of a sudden little boys again!  Hagan's buddies are downloading it!  Of course the guys are beating the game way too fast now!
