lent is coming to a close and last night the family went to Holy Thursday mass...such a beautiful and quiet mass... Nora had wanted to stay or come back for "night watch" or adoration. It is a beautiful duty to stay in times with others round the clock with the body of Christ. She asked if we could do it in the middle of the night and whispered, "it would probably be okay if I fall asleep...I think Jesus would understand since the disciples did too"...(this is our child that can fall asleep in about any mass!) I had planned to wake her up and take her, but unfortunately I was a little tired! I am hoping to do it with her next year...

I've wanted to do the Adoration of the Cross, unfortunately, I've never made the time to do it. I really should. I can remember going to Holy Thursday and Good Friday services and getting so emotional - it's quite a week. Hubby was an RCIA sponsor last year and participated in the three-hour Holy Saturday service - the young man he sponsored almost passed out! Tomorrow will be a wonderful day - rejoice!
