ahh...(or is it yum!) sweet reward!

Mally did it... a month of applying the lotion that helps her skin.  She has always done so well on the refraining from dairy and egg for her allergy but does not like the applying lotion part!  Our friend (who is a dr) told her that she was cancelling out all that good work on diet and reading label part IF she was not doing the lotion.  We came up with the bribe and she was dilligent on that lotion with her eyes on the prize!  A Gig's cupcake!  She researched the available flavors/varieties...which one was not as bad for her?  Which one would REALLY be worth it?!  She came up with a peanut butter cup one...the day arrives and we take her to celebrate...of course, that flavor is NOT available that day...we wait another and get it!  She even waits til after dinner, it is on the counter just calling her!  She thoroughly enjoyed it!  But, a tummy ache followed, and I am hoping the rash stays away... next month is not a nono food reward!  So proud of her for sticking to it!  It is really a difficult allergy with all the cooking they do at school and all the birthday parties with all the not "mally safe"goodies.
