there is no way not to make this a really long post! We experienced the beautiful blown glass sculptures of Chihuly lit up last night. Pictures really do not fully capture how pretty it was...but I can try anyway! The kids were a tad hot and miserable until the sun went down, but they were good and i think enjoyed it! We loved being able to explore the grounds at night, something we have never done before. The girls explored the inside of the mansion with Flynn and I and got to see lots of beautiful impressionist paintings and amazing collections... we are usually just going in it to see the many many christmas trees in there and really seeing no other part of the mansion. Nora had little memories of going to her weekly art class there when she was little (still miss those carefree days!)
Nora said this exhibit looked like Hersheys kisses!
"we know it is tempting...but please do not touch!" these signs are all through the exhibit but apparently do not apply to Reilly!
The unknown work of the Jumping Nora!
see the highrise in the distance... we lived on the top floor when I was little! I tell the kids that EVERY time we come to cheekwood and see it... but I think it is kind of neat!
trying to capture the lights!
everyone was referring to this as the worlds largest radioactive corndog!
Big Foot sighting!
