KINDERGARTEN!!!

I am not ready for this but she is! I miss my little sidekick and do not like it that for the first time in over 15 years I do not have a little somebody at my side! She went a half day first (they take 4-5 a day for the first week) and then a week later started full swing! It was nice having that last little week with just her before real school! She let me walk her in the first day but then wanted to be dropped off like big brother and sister! On the first day (1/2 day) when I picked her up she talked and talked in DETAIL about all that they did and who did what and so on, she was glowing and so happy and then she paused and said quietly in a huff..."there's alot of rules!"

A week later after the first "real" day I asked her how her day was and she replied, "Great, and I didn't even get in trouble!" I commented that that was good since it WAS just the first day of school, and she said, "No, it was the second, i got in trouble on the first day" I asked her what in the world she could've gotten in trouble for on a half day...she answered, "I raised my hand, but I yelled out anyway!" I have since told the story to our friend who is the aid in her class and she laughed and said that she did not get in trouble... but that did happen!!!

On the first day they were asked to draw a self portrait and if they didn't remember what they looked like, to go in the bathroom and look in the mirror... only she an Zuzu needed to look! (If you look closely at the picture of she and Flynn, you can see her bottom lip looks like she is about to cry but in a snapshot a second later, she was all smiles again!)
